D or Cannabidiol, what is it? It is a simple question that comes with a complex answer, so we broke it down into sections for you to understand.
- What is Cannabidiol?

What is Cannabidiol?
To start off with the basics lets first look into what Cannabidiol (CBD) is. As a natural substance CBD has been getting a lot of interests by both scientists and health specialists. It has many promising results but there is still misinformation and confusion surrounding it.
CBD is a new dietary supplement that has been used to help relieve anxiety and inflammation and has been rising in popularity recently. There are still gaps in how it helps and its effects but, the substance is safe and legal. Its benefits however are still under question.
Benefits of CBD
CBD has been reported to have many positive results. Scientists are looking into how it helps with medical applications like epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, spasms, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, nausea, convulsions, inflammation, and many other conditions, including cancer.
However, the effectiveness of CBD and the above conditions has not yet been scientifically proven and many of these studies are still in a pre-clinical stage. What is know with high certainty is that CBD has been effective for decreasing anxiety and many inflammation-related problems, included arthritis as well as multiple sclerosis.
CBD has also been proven to inhibit the growth of MRSA bacterium( a strain of staphylococcus resistant to antibiotics), which causes several difficult-to-treat infections. As a chemical substance,CBD also has strong antioxidant properties.
Because the effects of CBD is still under study, it is suggested for you to do your own research before using CBD in your daily life.
What Is The Difference Between THC And CBD?
The cannabis plant contains dozens of cannabinoids. The most well known cannabinoid for a long time has been tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), but as more scientific research is conducted involving cannabis and its ability to be used as a medicine, more and more people are learning about other cannabinoids, expecially cannabidiol (CBD). The last couple of years interest in CBD has grown exponentially, as it’s been featured on numerous television episodes showing how well it works in treating people who suffer from severe epilepsy. One of the most common questions I get asked these days is ‘what is the difference between THC and CBD?’
The most important thing that I try to get people to grasp is that THC will get you high (assuming you consume enough of it) and CBD will not. THC has psychoactive properties that affect your brain and give you a ‘buzz’ while CBD does not. I have talked to many, many people that avoided medical cannabis at all costs simply and only because they didn’t want to be high all the time. Once they understand that there are dozens of cannabinoids, and that they all don’t get you stoned (specifically CBD), they are much more open to the idea of trying medical cannabis.
Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), or more precisely its main isomer (−)-trans-Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol ( (6aR,10aR)-delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), is the principal psychoactive constituent (or cannabinoid) of the cannabis plant. First isolated in 1964 by Israeli scientists Raphael Mechoulam and Yechiel Gaoni at the Weizmann Institute of Science it is a water-clear glassy solid when cold, which becomes viscous and sticky if warmed.
A brief explanation of CBD is below, via Project CBD:
Cannabidiol — CBD— is a cannabis compound that has significant medical benefits, but does not make people feel “stoned” and can actually counteract the psychoactivity of THC. The fact that CBD-rich cannabis doesn’t get one high makes it an appealing treatment option for patients seeking anti-inflammatory, anti-pain, anti-anxiety, anti-psychotic, and/or anti-spasm effects without troubling lethargy or dysphoria.
To sum up, if you want to get high, consume strains or products made from strains that are high in THC. If you don’t want to get high, but want to still get the medical benefits of cannabis, consume strains or products made from strains that are high in CBD. Be aware that all cannabinoids (THC, CBD, and beyond) have a medical benefit, and it’s important to research which strains contain which levels of cannabinoids, and what cannabinoids are best suited for the particular conditions you are trying to treat.
It’s worth noting that just because someone claims that ‘X’ strain is known to have a certain percentage of THC and CBD, doesn’t mean that every plant ever produced of that strain will always have those percentages and ratios of THC and CBD. Different grow methods and factors can change those levels, so always make sure what you are buying has been tested by a reputable testing facility if cannabinoid levels are important to you.
What Type of Cannabidiol Therapy Is Best for You?
Cannabidiol remedies are available in many forms and can be utilized in various ways. The most appropriate delivery system for therapeutic cannabis is one that provides an optimal dose for a desired duration with few unwanted side effects.
Vaporizing with a vape pen or another device offers the same immediate benefits of smoking. But since a vaporizer heats the cannabis flower or oil without burning it, the active ingredients are inhaled as a vapor and no smoke is involved. This makes it a healthier alternative to smoking.
This is one of the easiest vaporizers to use, perfect for people new to vaping.
The Alternate Vape CBD Vape Kit has everything you need to get started with vaping CBD.
The kit includes:
- 1x Battery
- 1x USB Charger
- 1x Pre-Filled Vape Cartridge (250mg CBD)
What is a CBD Vape Shot?
The Vape Shot is a pre-filled vaporizer tank formulated with a high-CBD hemp extract. This hemp extract contains 250mg CBD and lasts for approximately 300-500 puffs depending on use. The CBD Vape Shot is available in three great flavors that are created with natural plant terpenes.
Do I Need the Kit?
If you do not have a low-voltage (max 4.9V) vaporizer battery, you should order this kit. We’ll include all the necessary components to start vaping, plus a convenient carrying case.
Once you’ve ordered the Alternate Vape Kit, you don’t need to order the kit again. Instead, you can purchase the Vape Shot separately.
To clarify, the CBD Vape Shot can be thrown away once the oil is gone. Just make sure to only throw away the tank — don’t toss the battery! You can reuse the battery with a new Vape Shot.
Why Choose Alternate Vape?
Vaping is a relaxing, efficient, and tasty way to incorporate CBD hemp oil into your daily life.
The downside, however, is that most CBD vape oils are made with propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. If you’re looking to support your body naturally with CBD, you may be hesitant to use a vape oil with a PG/VG base.
Alternate Vape is proudly made with no PG or VG! Instead, Alternate Vape has formulated a vape oil with an MCT (fractionated coconut) oil base. You can be confident in knowing that each ingredient in the CBD vape shot is all-natural.
In the past, propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin were necessary in order to keep CBD evenly distributed throughout a vape oil. Thanks to new research and experimentation, Alternate Vape was completely reformulated to be all-natural, containing only CBD, MCT (coconut) oil, and plant terpenes for flavor.
How to Use CBD Vape Kit
As you puff on this vaporizer pen, lights around the bottom of the pen will light up in red. If they do not light up, or start blinking intermittently, it’s time to charge! Twist off the battery and twist it onto the USB charger. Charge the battery through your computer (the computer must be turned on) or use a USB wall charger.
Use this product intermittently throughout the day. If you vape more than 4 times per minute, it’s possible to damage the coil, which can give the oil a burnt taste.

Made in the USA from imported hemp.
Tasty Drops by Tasty Hemp Oil are made with a reliable, tested hemp-derived cannabidiol oil. The total CBD in each bottle is a combination of two powerful cannabinoids, CBD and CBDa ,to support a healthy lifestyle. The most abundant cannabinoid found in Tasty Drops is cannabidiol (CBD); a widely studied constituent of the cannabis plant, believed to possess many benefits. CBD does not cause any sort of “high,” as is typically associated with cannabis. Similarly, CBDa doesn’t cause a high, but research suggests various benefits.
This tasty cannabidiol oil is made in the USA from legally imported hemp and ships all over the world.
How to use Tasty Drops
The manufacturer suggests a serving size of 15 drops once or twice a day. There’s approximately 7.5mg of phytocannabinoids per 15 drops. While this serving size may be perfect for some people, it’s important to understand that everybody is different. There is no set, standard serving size for hemp oil – so we encourage you experiment to find your best regimen. You may find that you need to take more to start, letting it build up in your system, and then can gradually reduce that amount. Or if you’ve taken hemp oil supplements before or feel it’s working well, you may choose to reduce the serving to conserve product while maintaining the same results.
To use Tasty Drops, place the drops under your tongue, holding it there for 60-90 seconds, and then swallow. By keeping the hemp oil in your mouth for a minute or longer, you are allowing it to absorb into your body quicker. Otherwise, it must first travel through your digestive system.
- Natural (Unflavored)
“What does your hemp oil taste like?” is a question we hear repeatedly, and we completely understand why.
If you’ve ever used hemp oil before, you know that it has a peculiar, earthy flavor. The best way we’ve found to describe it is, remember when you were 3 and passionate about trying new things like scooping up a fresh patch of grass and dirt and promptly eating it? That’s essentially what unflavored hemp oil tastes like. Some people love it and others can’t stand it.
Tasty Drops is for those looking for a great tasting option, which makes it easier to stick to your hemp supplement routine. All flavors perform great in masking that hempy taste. For a strong, minty flavor with a pleasant dash of sweetness, we recommend Chocolate Mint or Spearmint. Or try Vanilla for a subtle, sweet taste and pleasant aroma.

The Blue label CBD oil is packaged in an easy-to-use oral syringe. Simply dispense the oil on your finger or a spoon and place it under your tongue. Allow the oil to absorb into your body by keeping the oil under your tongue for 60-90 seconds, then swallow whatever is left over.
High CBD Oil is a thick paste-like substance, which makes measuring servings a little unique. The recommended serving size is the size of a grain of rice (as pictured on the left) once or twice daily. That can be safely increased or decreased as needed. The only negative side effect we’ve heard is stomach discomfort when excessively large amounts are consumed; a common anecdote when it comes to oil-based products.
Each grain of rice sized piece has approximately 4mg-5mg CBD.
What is CBD?
CBD is a shortened term for cannabidiol. It’s a natural compound found in the hemp plant that doesn’t pose any risk of a “high.”
When CBD enters our bodies, it interacts with receptors located all throughout our bodies; including the brain, nervous system and immune system. These receptors collectively make up what’s known as the Endocannabinoid System. Nearly all animals on the planet have it, and it’s believed to regulate many of our biological processes.*
Can CBD Help Me?
Now you have a general idea how CBD works, but what can it do?
Many studies are available online — we encourage you to research them to decide if CBD is something you’d like to try. More clinical studies are needed before CBD is recognized to have medicinal value.
High Quality CBD Oil
High CBD Oil is manufactured under very strict quality controls in an FDA-registered cGMP certified laboratory. Each batch is lab tested using high-tech liquid gas chromatography for accurate results. These tests verify the products cannabinoid profile and checks for any yeast, molds, E. coli, and coliforms. Occasional blind-tests are also sent to a separate third party lab to make sure results are consistent and true.
High CBD Hemp Oil Versions
There are three versions of High CBD Oil available, each with noticeable differences that should be considered.
Let’s start with the Raw (also called the “Green”) version. As its name suggests, this is very first, raw version of the oil. It’s extracted from the plant and packaged; no heating or filtering is applied. This means it’s a full-spectrum, whole plant oil with the composition nature intended it to have. It’s total concentration is a combination of CBD and CBDa. Research suggests CBDa and CBD may have greater benefits when working together, which is why the Raw version is at the top of our recommended product list.
You’ll find various cannabinoids and terpenes in the Raw version. Terpenes are responsible for the unique smells and flavors of hemp plants and may potentially work synergistically with cannabinoids to offer additional benefits. The Raw oil is dark in color and has a paste-like consistency.
The Blue version is made by taking the Raw oil and heating it up to a controlled temperature. This process (called decarboxylation) turns CBDa into CBD. For those looking to get the most CBD possible without filtering the oil, the Blue version is perfect. The Blue oil is a thick paste and very dark in color.
Finally, we have the Gold version. We’ve taken the pure extract of the plant to create the Raw, then heated it up to create the Blue; and now the oil is filtered to create the Gold. The filtering process removes some of the extra plant parts, which change’s the oils color to a light orange and consistency to a gel. This version is for those looking for the highest CBD concentration available, with little interest in the other components of the plant.
Do not take if pregnant or lactating. Always consult a medical doctor before modifying your diet or using any new product. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. *These statements have not been evaluated by the food and drug administration (FDA).

Cannabis therapeutics is personalized medicine. The right treatment regimen depends on the person and condition being treated. CBD seems to offer natural protection against the marijuana high. Numerous studies suggest that CBD acts to reduce the intoxicating effects of THC, such as memory impairment and paranoia. CBD also appears to counteract the sleep-inducing effects of THC, which may explain why some strains of cannabis are known to increase alertness. Both CBD and THC have been found to present no risk of lethal overdose.
You now know:
- CBD is the 100% legal and non-psychoactive form of marijuana, and can actually combat unpleasant effects of smoking weed, such as paranoia or over-excitability…
- CBD acts on completely different receptors and enzymes than THC, resulting in significant effects on anxiety, depression and stress…
- CBD is completely safe and non-addictive…
- Pharmaceutical companies can’t patent CBD unless they turn it into a synthetic chemical first…
- There are shocking demonstrations of the potency of CBD for several serious neurological conditions such as epilepsy, MS and cerebral palsy…
- CBD can also be used to balance hormones, reduce anxiety, lower inflammation and chronic pain, combat metabolic syndrome, and reduce obesity…
- You can legally purchase hemp-based CBD anywhere in America and in most countries of the world…
- Consult your health counselor. Proceed cautiously, especially if you have a history of alcohol or drug abuse, mental illness, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.
